DIY Baby Shoes

This week was my friend Tracy‘s son’s first birthday. Yesterday was the party, and I wanted to make something really cute. I looked around on one of my baby Pinterest boards and found a pair of baby shoes I had pinned a while ago. They seemed really easy and REALLYYYY cute, so I took a shot at them, and success! They came out adorable. I later found out that they didn’t fit (grrrr) but that was my fault, not finding out his size and just guessing! I’m still going to share them though, because they’re just so darn cute!! (And of course I had to package them up adorable)! I got the pattern and directions from stardustshoes (though I can’t seem to find the link anymore, so try THIS one out), and they were super clear and easy. I messed up a few times because I always get too excited and get ahead of myself, but if I hadn’t….it would have taken me less than a half hour to make these little cuties! And just think of them as a blank canvas…you can add buttons, flowers, etc. to personalize them! I used a hot glue gun on the soles to create traction, which worked like a charm, but looked really ugly, so I didn’t take any pictures lol. I used a canvas for the outer part and a thin, soft fleece for the inner.babyshoes2Don’t forget to follow me on Facebook!! Check it out if you want to see updates on what I’m working on, or whether or not I’ll post that day!

**Have a project you made using one of my tutorials? Show it off! I, along with all my followers, would love to see it! I have a page on my blog called “Your Pictures!”, located right next to the “About This Blog!” link at the top of my blog. Check it out for more information, and to see other fan pics!**

Until Tomorrow!!

  1. So cute, was a really ice and personal gift Tracy should keep them and hang them in her car…….. I am superstitious of the color green , even though they look adorable, nice job !!!

  2. So cute…and quite easy to make. I’ve done these with a a shorter front piece, longer back and added ribbon for a ballerina slipper look. These are very cute and cozy!

    • Oh I looooove mint green and seafoam….maybe to a guy they’re the same, but there’s definitely a difference to me! Even if it is a slight difference lol
