Happy Birthday To My Pup!!

I SO meant to post this yesterday, but I was so busy celebrating me and my husbands anniversary, and getting ready for our vacation, that I forgot! Our pup, Roscoe, turned 1 year old yesterday!! Yes, on our anniversary See, Roscoe is a rescued pup, and so the shelter wasn’t sure his exact birthday. When we brought him to the vet, they said judging by his weight, size and what not, he was born in early September. They asked if we wanted to set his birthday for the 1st, but I thought it would be sweet to share our anniversary with him, so we set it for the 2nd Here’s a little collage of pics I got from his b-day. I made him a little cake, and a hat, that we spent about 15 minutes trying to get him to wear lol.

BTW, if any of you are weirdos like me, and wanted to make a cake for your pup’s b-day:

Dog Cake Recipe (serving size: 1 small 4in cake)

• 1/4 cup water
• 1/4 banana, mashed
• few drops vanilla
• 1/2 teaspoon ground flax + 2 teaspoons water (mixed together)
• 1/4 tablespoon honey
• 1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons whole wheat flour
• 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
• Pinch of salt

Preheat oven to 350F. Mix together the water, mashed banana, vanilla, flax mixture, and honey. Add in the flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix until incorporated. Spread into a greased and floured 4in pan (I used a springform). Bake for about 15 minutes. I didn’t frost it, but you could put some peanut butter on it, and I assure you, your dog will love it lol.
